Get to Know Dr. Nathan Schaffner
Following twenty-two years of practicing in the small eastern Colorado town of Yuma and six years as the on-site dentist for the employees of Woodward, Inc., Dr. Schaffner established Schaffner Family Dental in January, 2017 in beautiful Fort Collins. He feels honored to have had most of his Woodward patients follow him to his new private practice. The practice continues to grow through word-of-mouth referrals.
As owner of the only dental practice in Yuma, Colorado, Dr. Schaffner gained valuable experience in all aspects of general dentistry. He enjoys treating patients of all ages. In addition to his private practice, Dr. Schaffner served as the consulting/treating dentist at long-term care facilities in northeastern Colorado. Although most patient dental care is completed in our office, Dr. Schaffner feels blessed to practice in a community with outstanding dental specialists to whom he refers for specialty dental care as needed.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Schaffner most enjoys spending time with his wife (Liz), his three daughters (Brielle, BrookLynn and Janie) and his son-in-law (Matt). When time allows, he likes mountain get-aways and other travel. He is actively involved in Valley Christian Church of Loveland where he serves as an Elder.

Get to Know Dr. Mark Eulenstein
Dr. Mark Eulenstein was born and raised in Centennial, Colorado. He attended the University of Northern Colorado on full academic scholarship, where he received a bachelor’s degree in biology and a minor in chemistry. In pursuing his passion for helping others he received his EMT license before starting dental school at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine.
While in school Dr. Mark was awarded the Health Professions Scholarship Program with the United States Air Force. Post-graduation, Dr. Mark was selected to attend a yearlong Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) program at the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs (USAFA). Dr. Mark then completed a three-year assignment as a general dentist for the 28th Bomb Wing at Ellsworth Air Force Base. There he won numerous awards including Company Grade Officer of the Quarter and Ellsworth AFB Top Three.
In his free time, he enjoys skiing, golfing, and fly fishing. Most of all, Dr. Mark enjoys spending time with his wife who is originally from nearby Windsor, Colorado, two sons, and dog. As your dentist, his goal is to make you feel comfortable and provide you with the best evidence-based dentistry available.

Your first visit is a time for us to get to know you and understand your needs and goals. After completing a brief set of paperwork, you'll have a comprehensive exam, necessary x-rays, and a friendly consultation with Dr. Schaffner or Dr. Eulenstein.
